What is DTF

DTF stands for Direct To Film. This technique involves printing your design directly onto a film and then transferring it onto fabric or other substrates using a heat-press mechanism.  There is no weeding or any other prep needed, just place your design down and press.

What can DTF be printed on

DTF transfers allow you to print easily on any garment, textile, wood, cardboard, canvas, paper or silk with a heat press. Plus, DTF printers can work on both dark and white fabric and product vibrant colours.

What does it feel like

Our DTF transfers are stretchy and soft. Grab yourself a free sample pack and test it out for yourself.

Explain the cost

As we print on a roll, we charge by the meter which is much cheaper when you are printing a large volume of prints. We suggest you gang your prints so you can get the best bang for your buck.

Can you make my gang sheet for me

For an additional cost, we can. Please email us at info@flavourpop.au for a quote.

What format should my artwork be

Your artwork can be in PNG, PDF, AI, PSD or vector SVG/EPS. Artwork should be in a minimum of 300dpi (the higher the resolution, the better quality of print). Your artwork needs to have a transparent background. We print in CMYK so keep that in mind when making your artwork.

Can I use an iron to press the transfer

No, you can't. You need consistent pressure and heat so a heat press is required.

Will my colours print correctly

DTF printers use CMYK colour model… Your computer screen and artwork software like Photoshop use RGB… Every single type of computer screen is different and will display different colours. Our printers are calibrated to be as accurate as possible however there may be some variation in colour.

My artwork isn't high quality, will it be ok

For the best outcome we need a high quality image. If you give us a low quality image your print will reflect that. If you have concerns about your image please email us here.
